“Plan that excutes are plans just made”, I think you got an idea about what I am trying to say, have’t you? Yes. You have got it right. It was a trip planned few hours before our night departure from Bangalore to the wonderful Coorg.
If your view is blocked by fog, and your skin can feel the freezy wind, you surely have arrived to Coorg. As per our plan, we wanted to visit Chelavara falls and complete the Tadiandamol trek.
On arriving at Coorg, we wanted to relax for a while, so we visited a waterfall! At the start, you may find this place a little tricky because of the roads and warm welcoming DANGER board. Its always better to be cautious. The local around this places are very helpful in guiding the right path. I don’t know if you have been lucky getting a drop to this place, but I surely was one. This places certainly won’t disappoint you in scenic view of lush greenery. I would recommend you to visit this place, but would not recommend you getting into the water or playing.
After the warm up and spending some leisure time, it was time to start our our trek to Tadiandamol. As I mentioned, it was monsoon time, the visibility was really poor and leeches are waiting to suck blood off from you. We had our bags packed with food, so we started our trek by having light food. Also, we all had nutri bars, just in case we feel hungry on our way. Initial few kms seem very plain and easy, and then start a slight elevation. As it was monsoon, it had started to drizze and I saw lot of travelers backing out from reaching the end point. A few travelers even asked us to get back. We were all determined to reach the end point.
On our trek, visibility was really poor, we could hardly see a meter away from us, and slippery rocks din’t let us walk any further. One of my friends, even got little injured, but that din’t let us stop from reaching the 4th highest peak of karnataka.
The peak point was really worth all the effort of traveling. We were all so happy that reached the peak point. On our way back, the weather started to clear, it was one of the most charismatic views ever, just totally worth the trek. Also, as the sun started to set, we started our descent. Getting down was not an easy business, but friends always make it fun and easy.
We also had the opportunity to do the crazy sport of river rafting. It was a super-thrilling adventure.
With this wonderful experience, I would recommend you to travel with well packed bags. See you with another article soon.
